Philip Anderson is the Founder and President of HDR Remodeling. He started the company over 30 years ago as Honey Do Repair (HDR), a handyman company. Philip finished his education in 1972 with a Master’s degree from John Carroll University, Cleveland and has work for IBM (Chicago), Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati), and Clorox (Oakland). He decided to strike out on his own as a small business owner in 1987. The company’s reputation for quality work and superior service made the business successful. It was our clients who inspired the transition from handyman work into full service remodeling.
Chris Fellows is the Head of our Build department. He and his qualified staff of skilled Project Managers and Lead Carpenters will bring your project to life. With almost 20 years of experience in construction, Chris directs HDR Remodeling's trade professionals, vendors, and suppliers like a conductor directs an orchestra. He has been with the HDR Remodeling family since 2009.
Chris carries a California Contractor’s License for General Building Contractor B and Class C-6 Cabinet, and Finish Carpentry. He is also a NARI certified Certified Remodeling Project Manager (CRPM), LEAD R&R Certified, C2 Asbestos Hazard Safety Certified, and Window & Door certified Winteq Installer.
Kevin Mond is the Head of our Design department and works to create award winning designs and to solve all of your complex architectural framing and engineering challenges. Kevin holds a degree in Architecture and Environmental Studies. While in school, he worked on projects in Holland, Germany and Sweden. Kevin moved to California and joined HDR in 2012.
Ana Mathys is an NKBA certified Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer, knowledgeable in product selection, space planning, materials and finishes. She works alongside our in house architects and other designers to take your project from inspiration through to completion.
In her role as our Design + Build Coordinator, she will also guide you through every step of your project ensuring that you meet all the critical checkpoints for your project to come in on-time and on-budget.
Sue Wiseman has been our Office Manager + Bookkeeper for over 20 years. Sue keeps you up-to-date on project expenses and progress payments. With her expertise and knowledge of the business, she provides invaluable insight into the estimating process while working with our trade professionals and vendors.
Milton Tong is an architect in our Design department. With over 20 years of experience in many building types, contemporary and traditional architectural styles, and construction detailing for custom work, Milton brings a broad range of expertise to find the best solution to your unique aesthetic and needs. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, and Masters of Architecture from UC Berkeley, is a Green Point Advisor and LEED Professional.
