These homeowners wanted a design build firm that wasn’t afraid of designing with color and HDR Remodeling was right for the job. Our clients wanted to go bold for their laundry room remodel while maintaining a crisp clean environment.
They brought a playful collection of bright Crossville Playground orange glossy ceramic subway wall tiles to design their laundry room around. This bold choice adds vibrancy and personality to the small space.
BACKGROUND & DESIGN SOLUTIONS
The client's desire for a clean and bright laundry room led to the incorporation of Hanover style, linen-colored cabinets and white quartz countertops to create a calm balance against the colorful backsplash. The elements in this design palate complement one another in a playful harmony allowing the orange subway wall tiles to be a focal point, contributing to a lively and energetic atmosphere.
From a functionality an extra-deep utility sink with a pull-down faucet was included for hand wash clothes. To optimize space, a wall-mounted drying rack was installed. It folds discreetly into the wall when not in use, providing a practical solution for hang-drying.
Contrary to the notion of sterile and neutral spaces, this laundry room remodel challenges the status quo by embracing color. The perfectly aligned orange subway tiles with clean edges create a cohesive and visually appealing design, proving that a clean look can be achieved without sacrificing vibrant and bold color choices.
By breaking away from the conventional neutral palette, we successfully transformed the laundry room into a space that feels clean, bright, and inviting.
