Oakland Deck

The clients had lived in their Oakland home for several years while their family grew in size.  The home’s outside available space was limited to a narrow sloped hillside.  The key design challenge was easy access to a level play space for kids and comfortable outdoor entertainment space for the adults. 

The deck with access from the home through sliding glass doors, offered a wonderful additional space to the home.  The deck was built with redwood and the railing was built with redwood posts and finished in electrical conduit galvanized piping.  An exterior set of stairs led down to the garden.
