Background

Client had a small deck off of their dining room and requested an expansion of their outdoor space to allowed them to enjoy the stunning views of the San Francisco Bay with minimal visual obstructions to that view. They desired a better access point to the outdoor space and a more integrated outdoor feel from the inside of their living room.

HDR Remodeling raised the deck to level with the interior floor and added 140 square feet of entertaining space. The glass railing was incorporated to provide an obstructed view of the bay from this Kensington deck, including the Bay Bridge, Albany Hill, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Large sliding glass doors were installed in the living room leading out to the deck to bring the new outdoor space indoors.
