Templar Oakland Kitchen
Our top nominee for the 2018 award ceremonies, this Montclair/Oakland Hills kitchen remodel is a true vision in white. Keeping the light and airy feel of the space while maximizing functionality was an important aspect of this design. Form and function are perfectly blended to create a home cook's dream kitchen featuring luxury grade fixtures & finishes, Thermador appliances, well appointed storage, and plenty of counter space. The breakfast bar peninsula is large enough to comfortably accommodate the whole family, the large open layout provides plenty of room for multiple cooks to simultaneously enjoy the space, and allows for entertaining guests while preparing meals.
Before
Background
This Montclair estate had not received a kitchen update since the 1980s. While the original space was high design for its time, the home and it’s owners were ready for a breath of fresh air as they brought their kitchen into the current decade.
The client wished to modernize the space without losing the stately charm of the home. Creating a connection between the kitchen and the rest of the home was important to the client for emphasizing a more welcoming atmosphere.
